Alliance at Work
Acle Indoor Bowls Club showed the Alliance of Bowls in action recently when Acle IBC Manager, Denis Goodley, who is a Director of the EIBA welcomed a fellow Acle member, Allan Rowsell, who is the President of the Norfolk Bowls Federation, to the Acle IBC ,where Allan was celebrating his Presidents Day.
The charity which benefited from the days festivities was the Teenager Cancer Unit who will be presented for a cheque of £460-00.
Absent on the day but with very good reason was Geraldine Reeve, another Acle IBC member who is also National Ladies Federation President .The reason for her absence was that she was competing with fellow member Gwen Xuereb in the Bowls England Over 55s Pairs at Leamington, which they went on to win.
